Hello to all the mamas and papas!

I am a 26 year old mom-to-be of twins. Funny thing is….my mother is a twin who had twins (my sister and I), and now I am having twins. Very interesting.  The father-to-be and I are not married but we are very much together. I guess you could say we are a team. This pregnancy kind of came to us as a surprise but we weren’t being cautious. The big surprise was when we found out “it” was a “they”. We were both shocked!

I was on my way to the State Police Academy until the pregnancy test came back “positive”.  Now, I’m not sure where my career path is going.  Which is very scary. I couldn’t dream of going to the Police Academy and leaving my newborn twins for 6 months.  I would miss everything.  I would be carrying them for 36 weeks and not be able to enjoy their first smile.  I don’t think so….

So what’s next?

I will talk about the life changes of having twins as a single mother. It will include daily life activities ranging from caring for my babies, maintaining a functional household, healthy relationship with the father, and dealing with other unexpected life issues.
